Indications for use:

A specialized product intended for dietary therapeutic nutrition of children over one year of age with phenylketonuria.

Warning:

The diet must be supplemented with natural protein and other nutrients in the amounts prescribed by the attending physician to meet the child's needs for phenylalanine and essential nutrients necessary for normal development.

Important:

Use strictly as recommended by your doctor! The product cannot be used as a sole source of nutrition. For patients with phenylketonuria only. The product is introduced into the diet over a period of 7-10 days with a gradual replacement of the specialized product for children under one year of age with the specialized product Afenilak 20 for children over one year of age. The volume of the previous product is reduced by 1/4-1/5 and an equivalent amount of protein of the new product is added. The amount of product and liquid for dilution per feeding and the number of feedings is determined by the doctor depending on the age, body weight and clinical condition of the child, but not less than 3 times a day.

Directions for use:

Dissolve the required amount of the product in a small volume of boiled water cooled to 40-45°C, then add the remaining water to obtain a liquid homogeneous mixture. Recommended dilution: 1 level scoop (~4.2 g) of product and 25 ml of water. The product can be taken as a thick mixture or drink diluted with water or another liquid recommended by a doctor in a concentration convenient for the child. Prepare the mixture immediately before each feeding. Never use leftover mixture for subsequent feeding!

Storage:

Before opening the package, store the product at a temperature of 0 to 25°C and a relative humidity of no more than 75%. After opening the package, store the product tightly closed in the refrigerator for no more than 3 weeks.
